Our Campuses
We have four divisions — two elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school — spread across three sprawling campuses, all located in South Jakarta.
Across a combined 20 hectares, our four divisions create one community. The Middle and High School campus is located in Cilandak, the Pondok Indah Elementary campus is located in Pondok Indah and connects to the Cilandak campus via a path and walking bridge, and the Pattimura Elementary campus is located in Kebayoran Baru.
Our facilities are an important part of the learning experience at JIS. We renovate and update our facilities on a regular basis to enhance our teaching practices and the student experience.
Our campuses have tranquil gardens, swimming pools, sports fields, state-of-art STEAM labs, creative arts performance venues, and libraries. JIS is an oasis, and we often find that our students and parents never want to leave!

Libraries
The libraries at JIS are a haven for the avid reader, curious explorer, budding adventurer, aspiring scientist — every member of our diverse Dragon community. They serve a multitude of purposes, all geared toward fostering an immersive learning experience further enhanced by the power of literature, information, and technology.
Design and Technology Labs
The design and technology labs at our Middle School and High School campuses prepare students to anticipate and solve the challenges of a dynamic and global world.
We don’t know what the challenges of tomorrow are, but we know how we can prepare students to be ready for them. In our state-of-the-art labs, students will have the chance to build, create, collaborate, and explore through design and technology.
Classrooms
Our classrooms are where students are challenged, where they learn to collaborate, and where they develop as learners. Our classrooms are designed to be inviting and promote student engagement.
Makerspace
Both JIS Elementary School campuses (Pondok Indah and Pattimura) have a Makerspace. The Makerspace is an important part of our young Dragons’ JIS experience as it encourages them to collaborate, express themselves, and use technology as part of their learning while being introduced to design and engineering. Time in the Makerspace is integrated into the curriculum and students are often seen creating with materials or taking part in coding activities.
Playgrounds
The playgrounds in our Elementary Schools and Middle School are not just a place for kids to play. They are spaces designed to help children develop their gross motor and social-emotional skills, learn to take risks, and of course, have a lot of fun!
Athletic Facilities
With both indoor and outdoor facilities available, our students use a variety of spaces to enhance their physical skills and athletic abilities through Physical Education classes, after-school activities, and individual and team sports. Students are encouraged through the use of our facilities to grow as athletes and individuals. We are part of many athletic organizations and host a number of tournaments throughout the year.
Visual and Performing Arts
The best learning can sometimes happen backstage, putting a brush to canvas, or with an instrument in hand. When creativity and expression flourish, so do our students. Every year we use our visual and performing arts spaces to showcase student work through art shows, concerts, musicals, and studio exhibits.
Cafetarias
The cafeterias on our campuses are reflective of our mission to be Best for the World. Students have healthy options made daily to promote their health and wellbeing.
