Rediscovering Pattimura Elementary, the Heart of Jakarta Intercultural School
As JIS’s first campus, Pattimura Elementary holds a special place not only in the school’s history, but also in the history of Indonesia.
For over seventy years, thousands of students have been educated by dedicated teachers and staff at the school-- each with their own fond memories of their time on campus and under the beloved Pattimura tree.
In 2022, we began an impressive redevelopment project to enhance our facilities and make space for more students in our growing community.
We have worked with the best architects from around the world and in Indonesia to create learning spaces that are purpose-built especially for our students, reinforcing our education values and academic program.

While the spirit of Pattimura remains the same, we hope the next generation of students will continue to grow and thrive at our newly-built campus, creating new memories that will last a lifetime.
