Arts, Athletics & Activities
We believe in the importance of providing a diverse variety of activities and opportunities for students to learn, grow, and figure out who they are.
We often see skills and personality traits develop out on the sports field, on and behind the stage, designing an awareness campaign to support environmental sustainability, sculpting clay, learning an instrument, or building a robot capable of simple tasks.
At JIS, there are endless opportunities for students to discover new talents.
We believe that all of these activities — and more — are integral to student development.
There is something for everyone
We support student development by offering the largest range of athletics, arts, service-learning, and STEM activities in Jakarta. These opportunities can be found both in the curriculum and as co-curricular activities.
Athletics
A wide range of opportunities are available for individual and team sports, from recreation leagues for our younger students to official school competition teams.
Arts
At JIS, the arts program takes many forms. Students can participate in visual arts, performing arts, digital arts, and more.
Activities
Students have the option to join clubs and activities that are geared toward promoting socialization, confidence, life skills, teamwork, strategic thinking, social service, and fun.
Service Clubs
Being a part of a service club is a highlight for many students at JIS. It is the perfect opportunity to gain new skills while effecting positive change in the community.

We offer quality, high-interest academic, fitness, creative, and sports activities beyond the normal curriculum for students.
IASAS
JIS is part of the Interscholastic Association of Southeast Asian Schools (IASAS). It is a unique organization that fosters community, friendship, competition, cultural exchange, and fun between select schools across Southeast Asia.
