JIS Academy Activities

For the 2025/26 school year:

• Semester 1 begins the week of September 15 and ends December 18

• Semester 2 begins the week of January 19 and ends on May 29

All Monday-Friday after-school activities are open to children in KG-Grade 12.

Saturday sessions are open to children in EY-Grade 12

The timing of after-school activities can vary depending on the age group of the participants. However, it is common for after-school activities to be scheduled once a week during weekdays, from Monday to Friday.

It's important to note that Early Years activities are an exception to this weekday schedule. Early Years activities are typically scheduled on Saturday mornings.

Here are some general guidelines:

Elementary students: Most activities for Elementary School students start immediately after the school day ends, which is typically at 2:10 PM. However, please note that some elementary student activities may start after 3 PM.

Middle and High School students: Activities for Middle and High School students can start as early as 3:15 PM, shortly after the regular school day concludes. This allows students to transition seamlessly from their classes to their chosen activities.

Adults: Activities for adults can have more flexible timing. Some may start in the afternoon, allowing working adults to participate after their workday ends. Others, especially those focused on fitness or wellness, may have morning sessions.

Early Years: For our youngest participants, such as EY1/EY2 students, activities take place on weekends. These activities may start as early as 8 AM on Saturday, providing a convenient schedule for both children and their parents.

Yes, there is typically a cost associated with after-school activities. These activities operate outside the normal school hours and curriculum, and are commonly run by outside service providers. • Make a payment: As part of the registration process, you'll need to make a payment to secure a spot for your child in the chosen activity. Payment options and instructions will be provided on the portal.

• Confirmation: After completing the registration and payment process, you should receive a confirmation of your child's enrollment in the selected after-school activity via email.
