Dragons Basketball is a joint venture between JIS Academy and Elevate Basketball designed to develop skilled and confident athletes while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a passion for the game. Whether you're a beginner taking your first steps on the court or an experienced player aiming to refine your skills, our program strives to meet the needs of players at all levels with the ultimate goal of children eventually becoming lifelong players of the game.

Our Program

Program Features

Skill development: Our program focuses on building a solid foundation of basketball skills, including dribbling, shooting, passing, defense, and rebounding. Through a progressive and structured training approach, athletes have the opportunity to enhance their abilities and develop a versatile game.
Physical and mental conditioning: We understand the importance of physical and mental conditioning in basketball. Our program incorporates fitness training, agility drills, and conditioning exercises to enhance endurance, speed, strength, and flexibility. Additionally, we emphasize the development of mental resilience, focus, and decision-making skills to prepare athletes for the challenges of the game.
Experienced coaching staff: Our experienced coaching staff provides guidance, individualized attention, and constructive feedback to help athletes refine their technique and maximize their potential.
Age-appropriate training: We offer age-appropriate training modules that cater to various age groups, ensuring that the coaching methods and drills align with the physical, mental, and emotional development of each participant. This tailored approach optimizes learning and minimizes the risk of injury.
Competitive opportunities: Our program provides avenues for athletes to showcase their skills through friendly matches and the occasional tournament. We encourage healthy competition, enabling athletes to apply their training in game-like situations and grow both individually and as a team.

Elite Basketball

The Elite Middle School Basketball Program is designed for highly motivated and skilled young athletes, both from JIS and other schools, who are eager to take their game to the next level. This program focuses on advanced skill development, strategic understanding, and competitive play, offering rigorous training sessions led by experienced coaches. Participants will benefit from a high-intensity environment that emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and personal growth, preparing them for future competitive opportunities both locally and internationally. Open to dedicated players who are committed to excellence, this program aims to elevate each athlete's performance while fostering a passion for the game

Game Format

Our practice format combines weekday sessions—where players can opt for one or two classes per week to focus on skill development—with Saturday game days, providing the chance to put those skills into action in a fun and competitive setting.

Elementary Basketball Game Format

Children in Kindergarten to Grade 5 will play games against other basketball clubs around the city, as well as the occasional school. Games will take place between 12:45 and 6 PM on Saturdays according to the schedule above.

Middle School and High School Basketball Game Format

Middle school and High School students will also play games against other basketball clubs around the city, as well as the occasional school. Games will take place between 1 and 6 PM on Saturdays according to the schedule above.

Sometimes the players will play in modified round-robin game schedules. Games are officiated by trained referees from the Indonesian Basketball Referee Association (AWABA).
