Overview

Welcome to Supreme Gymnastics!
Supreme Gymnastics is a club that provides recreational and competitive gymnastics training to boys and girls ages 5 and up. From beginners exploring the sport for the first time to experienced competitors seeking to excel, our club offers a range of gymnastics opportunities designed to meet each learner’s needs, skills, and aspirations. Whether your child is interested in recreational gymnastics, competitive excellence, or simply personal growth, we are dedicated to helping every gymnast soar to their greatest potential.
Due to limited storage space for gymnastics equipment, Supreme Gymnastics at Pattimura is only offered to beginning (recreational) gymnastics students. Once children reach Level 4 they can continue gymnastics at the Pondok Indah Elementary campus.
As was the case last year we plan to participate in some overseas competitions.
All gymnasts who wish to participate in overseas competitions are encouraged to practice a minimum of 4 hours a week. Children who practice less than 4 hours a week may be eligible however this is at the coach's discretion.
Register today to begin an exciting adventure in gymnastics that will leave a lasting impact!

Supreme Gymnastics Leveling System
Supreme Gymnastics is based on the Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Assessment System. WAG is a structured framework that categorizes gymnastics skills into different levels of difficulty. Each level represents a progressive step in a gymnast's skill development journey. Here's an explanation of each level within the WAG Assessment System:
Level 1 – Foundation
At the foundation level, gymnasts are introduced to the fundamental movements, positions, and basic skills of gymnastics. Focus is placed on developing body awareness, flexibility, and coordination. Gymnasts learn basic routines on different apparatuses, such as vault, bars, beam, and floor. Level 1 establishes a solid groundwork for future skill progression.
Level 2 – Novice
In the novice level, gymnasts continue to build upon their foundational skills while introducing slightly more complex movements. They work on refining basic skills and gaining confidence in executing routines. Balance, strength, and flexibility training become more prominent, and gymnasts start to demonstrate a higher degree of control and technique on all apparatuses.
Level 3 – Intermediate
At the intermediate level, gymnasts advance to more intricate skills, combining basic movements into sequences and routines. This level places a stronger emphasis on strength and flexibility training, as well as refining technique. Gymnasts at this stage often begin to specialize in particular apparatuses based on their strengths and preferences.
Level 4 – Advanced Intermediate
Gymnasts at the advanced intermediate level are now mastering complex skills, sequences, and routines. They demonstrate a greater level of strength, flexibility, and artistry in their performances. This stage may involve more intensive training and specialization on specific apparatuses as gymnasts approach more advanced competition levels.
Level 5 – Advanced
In the advanced level, gymnasts showcase highly refined skills and routines that demand exceptional technique, strength, and artistry. This stage often marks the beginning of competitive gymnastics at higher levels of competition. Gymnasts demonstrate proficiency in executing demanding routines on each apparatus and may start to explore higher levels of specialization.
Level 6 – High Performance
At the high-performance level, gymnasts are honing elite-level skills and routines. Their performances exhibit a high degree of technical precision, artistic expression, and difficulty. Gymnasts often compete at regional, national, or even international levels, showcasing their dedication and years of training.
Benefits of Gymnastics
Regular participation in gymnastics results in improved physical fitness, increased strength, flexibility, and balance. It also promotes the development of motor skills and coordination while enhancing bone health and posture. Beyond the physical advantages, gymnastics boosts confidence, self-esteem, and mental well-being, providing a holistic approach to overall health and fitness.
In addition, gymnastics offers a multitude of benefits that can enhance the performance of children who participate in other sports. The precision, body control, and coordination developed in gymnastics can transfer to sports like soccer, basketball, and tennis, enabling young athletes to execute movements with greater efficiency and accuracy. The strength and power gained through gymnastics training supports sports such as swimming, baseball, and track and field. Additionally, the flexibility and range of motion developed in gymnastics can improve agility and help prevent injuries in a wide range of sports.
Moreover, gymnastics cultivates mental focus, discipline, and the ability to perform under pressure, which are valuable skills for any young athlete striving for success. Ultimately, gymnastics equips children with a strong foundation of physical abilities and mental attributes that can positively impact their performance and enjoyment of other sports.
Safety Precautions
At Supreme Gymnastics, we take safety seriously. As a result, we limit the number of students in a group or in the gym at any time. In order to ensure that the gymnasts are not distracted, we also ask parents and guardians to wait outside the gym while classes take place. We appreciate your cooperation with this matter.
Supreme Gymnastics Team
During the year, athletes from the recreational program will be selected by the coaches for the Supreme Gymnastics Team. Selections to the team are based on the athlete’s commitment and dedication during practice and skill development according to the Australian Levels Program. Team members will be invited to compete in local and international competitions. All athletes in our recreational and competitive teams participate in Supreme Gymnastic’s in-house competitions, which take place at the end of each semester.
The minimum requirement for a selected Supreme Gymnastics Team member is three hours x two days a week. There are three teams:
- Tiny Team Level 2
- Pre-Team Level 3
- Team – Level 4 and above
Supreme Gymnastics Competition Opportunities
There are various competitions that Supreme Gymnastics members are invited to attend over the course of the year. Athletes that are part of the Supreme Gymnastics Team are asked to join these competitions first. If there is space available, other gymnasts may be invited to join.

Our Programs
Recreational Gymnastics
Recreational Gymnastics is intended for children who want to participate in gymnastics for fun, fitness, and skill development without the commitment and intensity of competitive gymnastics. Our program focuses on providing a safe and enjoyable environment for participants to learn basic gymnastics skills, improve strength and flexibility, and experience the joy of gymnastics. This program has a more relaxed and inclusive atmosphere, allowing individuals to enjoy gymnastics without the pressure of competition.
A special recreational tumbling class is offered to teach children different tumbling skills. Depending on their strength and skill, children will learn how to do a wide variety of movements such as forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, bridges, backbends, and handsprings. The focus is on body awareness, strength, body control, coordination, flexibility, and of course, fun!
Pre-team Gymnastics
The purpose of Pre-Team Gymnastics is to prepare children for team gymnastics.
Training for pre-team gymnastics is more focused and structured than recreational classes, with an emphasis on skill development and building the strength and technique required for competitive routines.
Team Gymnastics
Training for Competitive Gymnastics is more focused and structured than recreational classes, with an emphasis on skill development and building the strength and technique required for competitive routines. Competitive gymnasts train more hours than recreational gymnasts and have specific skill requirements to progress to the competitive team level.
Assessment

Children who are new to gymnastics are automatically placed in a beginner class. Those with more experience are asked to attend a Supreme Gymnastics assessment day session so that we can place them according to their correct level. New students who have never attended a gymnastics class can select a Level 1 class.
Assessment days are held at the start of each semester:
Friday, August 14, 2026
