JSCL (Coed)

The Jakarta Schools Competition League (JSCL) is a competitive league for boys and girls. There are approximately 120 teams in the league made up of different schools from around the Jakarta area.

Age Groups

The league has 6 age groups for boys: U8, U10, U12, U4, U16 and U19 and 2 age groups for girls.

In order to participate in the league, children must meet the following age requirements:

Under 8 – players must be born on or after 1st January 2017
Under 10 – players must be born on or after 1st January 2015
Under 12 – players must be born on or after 1st January 2013
Under 14 – players must be born on or after 1st January 2011
Under 16 – players must be born on or after 1st January 2009
Under 19 – players must be born on or after 1st January 2006
Girls Open Under 12 - 14 – players must be born or after 1st January 2011 - 31 December
2015
Girls Open Under 16 – 19 – players must be born or after 1st January 2006 - 31 December
2011

Note: Girls may play in the Boys’ teams in all age groups and are permitted to play 1 year down

e.g., in Under 8 the girl must be born on or after 1st January 2016.

All players are expected to submit proof of age (via passport or birth certificate) to prove that they fit the appropriate age category. They also must show that they are officially registered with their school.

There are two components to the league. There is a League and a Cup (with league and cup games played on Saturdays with possibility of games on Sundays if needed).

JSCL (Girls)

Middle School and High School Girls Soccer

The JSCL have created two girls divisions:

Girls Open Under 12 - 14 – players must be born or after 1st January 2011 - 31 December
2015
Girls Open Under 16 – 19 – players must be born or after 1st January 2006 - 31 December

Elementary Girls Soccer

Unfortunately the JSCL has not created a division for elementary girls soccer as they have not been able to get enough teams to sign up. That said, JIS does have an elementary Girls Dragon Soccer team which practices during the week and plays games on weekends.

KG-Grade 1 Girls Soccer

Practices for girls in KG-Grade 1 take place Tuesdays from 2:10 - 3:20 PM at PIE Field and Sundays from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM on Sundays at CIL Field 1.

Grade 2-5 Girls Soccer

Practices for girls in Grade 2-5 soccer take place Wednesdays from 2:10 - 3:20 PM at PIE Field and from 8:00 - 9:30 AM on Sundays at CIL Field 1.

Elementary girls will either play friendly matches (when we can find opposition) on Sundays or play in local and international tournaments if we feel the girls are ready for such competitions.

U8, U10, Girls Open U12 – U14, and Girls Open U16 – U19: 7 a side – Minimum number to start a match = 5; Maximum fielded on match days (including substitutes) = 13; Maximum registered in squad = 17.
U12: 9 a side – Minimum number to start a match = 7; Maximum fielded on match days (including substitutes) = 15; Maximum registered in squad = 18.
U14, U16, U19: 11 a side – Minimum number to start a match = 8; Maximum fielded on match days (including substitutes) = 18; Maximum registered in squad = 22.

Game Length

U8, U10, and Girls Open U12 – U14: 4 quarters of 10 minutes.
U12 and Girls Open U16 – U19: 4 quarters of 12 minutes.
U14, U16 and U19: 2 half of 25 minutes.

Field Locations

JSCL matches are played around the city of Jakarta. Since JIS is a host site, many JIS games are played on the JIS campus. When games are played at JIS, games are played on the following fields:

Field 1, 2 & 3 – Cilandak Campus
PIE Field – Pondok Indah Elementary Campus

Access

To access Fields 1 and 3, we recommend using JIS's main entrance on Terogong Raya.

To access the Pondok Indah Elementary campus, please enter via the Simatupang Gate. The entrance to this gate is just past the entrance to Beverly Towers apartment. Parents can also access Field 1 & 3 on the Cilandak campus using this gate.

JIS ID Badges

All adults visitors are required to exchange an ID for a JIS visitor's pass. We ask that all visitors also register with their team manager before they come onto campus as the manager shares this information with JIS security.
