Parent Volunteer Organizations
When you choose a school for your children, you are really choosing a community. For parents and students alike, JIS is where strong friendships are built and countless memories are made. Parent engagement takes many forms.
Parents can get involved through specific parent organizations at Jakarta Intercultural School, such as volunteering in PTA school-wide events, coordinating banquets to help the athletics department, taking new parents for a city tour, serving home-cooked meals to the community, or being a room parent at the Elementary School.
Parents are also encouraged to be present at school, partake in one of our many parent-run events, support a home game, or enjoy one of the many student concerts and performances.
At JIS we don’t just welcome you on campus, we value and encourage your presence. Volunteering however, is not mandatory as there are countless ways to be immersed in the JIS community; we are sure you will find your niche here. We have over 400 volunteer positions, and we are grateful for your contribution and participation. Our doors are open. You are welcome. You are wanted

Parent-Teacher Association
The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) has the largest membership among all the volunteer organizations at JIS, as JIS parents/guardians and faculty members are automatically members of the JIS PTA. We contribute to JIS the little extras that are part of life at a multicultural school, such as family events, bazaars and teachers’ appreciation — all enjoyable ways to bring families together while also bringing opportunities to raise funds for fun, academic and service projects. We look forward to making a difference with you and providing a more rewarding and enjoyable experience to the JIS community!
Parents' Booster Club
The JIS Parents’ Booster Club, (popularly known as The Boosters) supports IASAS Exchanges, Varsity sports and non-academic activities that promote the JIS Dragon Spirit. The Booster Hut offers PE/Sports uniforms, travel shirts, JIS Spirit wears and various types of merchandise, healthy snacks, grab-and-go meals, home-baked treats and drinks.
All profits from the Booster Hut go toward supporting The Boosters’ mission. Volunteer opportunities are open to Middle School and High School parents, and we would love to have you!

D'Toko
Staying true to its motto of “From Moms to Kids,” D’Toko is a 100 percent parent-run community store that has been serving Middle and High School Dragons hot meals, snacks and healthy beverages, as well as supplying them with stationery since 2005.
Always serving food made with love in a timely and efficient manner, D’Toko truly exuberates the aura of home in the midst of a bustling campus. Come join us as a volunteer if you love giving back to the JIS community!
