Community
Our community is at the center of everything we do. It's the students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni who make JIS the amazing place that it is.
We include everyone in our school community and actively encourage everyone to take a role in student learning. Parents and JIS Alumni come to campus and volunteer at events, serve as Careers Day speakers, and take part in community service activities alongside students, faculty, and staff.

Service at JIS
Living and learning in Indonesia, we at JIS know how important it is to be active, contributing members of the greater community in Jakarta and across this beautiful archipelago. We use our hands, heads, and hearts to collaborate with the community around us.
Through our curriculum, which incorporates service learning, and by living our mission and vision, our students learn to develop a sense of responsibility toward others. In the process, we hope to learn about ourselves and what it means to be Best for the World.
Community service and engagement can take many shapes at JIS. Students, parents, faculty and staff, and alumni can get involved in a variety of ways.
