A beloved JIS High School tradition that dates back decades, the Cilandak Games engage students in grade-level competitions that take place throughout our tropical Cilandak campus.

TEDxJIS, independently organized by High School students, is based on the world-renowned TEDx Talks. Each TEDxJIS event reflects on themes and issues that reflect students and schools today.

Our annual High School Careers Day gives students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the various industries available to them after graduation by learning directly from professionals in the field.

Every year, we recognize High School students for their achievements and excellence in academics, service, cultural programs, the creative arts, and athletics through the Dragon Awards. Recipients are chosen by select High School administrators, counselors, and cocurricular department heads.

An evening of sports, friendly competition, and Dragon Spirit, Naga Night brings the entire JIS community together to give our student-athletes a rousing send-off to IASAS competitions held across Southeast Asia.

Every year we honor our host country by celebrating Indonesia Week with students, teachers, and parents taking part in activities aimed to highlight the rich diversity of Indonesian culture.

Sponsored and organized by the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), the annual Family Fun Fair guarantees a day of outdoor fun for the entire family to enjoy.

Uniting Nations (UN) Day is a much-loved JIS tradition that goes back decades, taking place from Early Years to High School. Each division celebrates our school’s vibrant diversity as an inclusive, multicultural community, with festivities centered around what makes the different countries JIS families represent so unique.

The holiday season at JIS would not be complete without the PTA Holiday Bazaar! A much-awaited annual event organized by the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), this the perfect opportunity for JIS community members to get a head start on holiday gift-shopping while enjoying an assortment of treats from guest vendors, and view performances organized by students, parents and teachers. 

This event is open to both new and returning JIS families. The casual get-together gathers everyone at the Cilandak campus for a chance to get to know each other, meet our school leadership team, receive a campus tour (led by student ambassadors), and of course, enjoy a delicious BBQ meal surrounded by the lush greens of our garden-like spaces.

From tips on how to foster a love of literacy at home to the latest insights into online safeguarding strategies for young learners, JIS offers regular parent workshops in every division.
