The People of PEL: A Community Project
Pattimura Elementary (PEL) has a special place in our community's history as Jakarta Intercultural School's (JIS) first official campus. Countless memories and connections have been made over the decades by the students, parents, faculty, staff and alumni —affectionately called the People of PEL — who live the JIS story.
An impressive redevelopment of the campus has taken place around the tree, and those beautiful new facilities and buildings opened at the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
To celebrate this exciting new chapter for our beloved Pattimura campus, and to connect our seven decades of Dragons, we have created our People of PEL Community Wall. Whether you are new to JIS or were one of our earliest students, this exciting community project includes you!
All funds raised through this Community Project go to our Dragon Annual Fund and are used exclusively to support PEL Programs and Facilities. Thank you!
Our People of PEL Community Wall
This beautiful new feature will be installed at the Main Entrance (Gate B) of the PEL campus, and will celebrate the magic created by our community across every decade.
In addition to the Community Wall, we are also developing an interactive history installation. Together, these features will create a stunning new entrance to our beloved campus.

JIS's long and legacy-rich history owes much to the memories made and friendships forged by all of you, the People of PEL, on the courtyard encircling our beloved Pattimura Tree.
