The JIS iBook

In 2015, JIS created this interactive glimpse into our culture of learning and leading as part of our application to the Apple Distinguished Schools program. If you have an Apple device, please download this iBook to engage virtually with our vibrant school and to see why we were awarded this honor.

Click the iBook thumbnail to download. Once the download starts you will see a grey spinning wheel processing icon. It is not a progress bar. This is a large file and will take some time to download. When the download is complete, iPad/iPhone users will be prompted to open the file in iBooks. MacBook users should simply click the downloaded icon to open it in iBooks.

The JIS Batik Story

Learning in Indonesia means having first-hand access to many cultural wonders. Batik, recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage, is one of those treasures. Several years ago, JIS collaborated with local artisans to create a hand-crafted textile design for our school. Many Indonesian batik patterns are symbolic, and so is the one created for JIS. Read our "Batik Story" to learn more about Naga, Jatayu, Cakar and The Tree of Knowledge, symbols that animate our campus.

Naga News

Events, activities, celebrations - something is always happening at JIS. The Naga News, our bi-annual community newsletter, is one way we chronicle some of those happenings. The most recent Naga News, posted here, can help you get to know us better and see why our sense of community is so strong.
